Just like adult, permanent teeth, sometimes baby (primary) teeth have cavities that reach the nerve of the tooth. In order to save the tooth, the nerve needs to be partially removed and treated. A tooth that requires this nerve treatment will most likely need a stainless steel crown in order to give this tooth its best chance.
You may have heard this by another name: “laughing gas.” This substance can indeed make you laugh, but we use it for a different reason. We recommend this for most children in order for them to have the most relaxed and comfortable experience possible.
